The charity tournament was established in 2019 in memory of beloved tennis player Linda Puckett Carlen.  She loved traveling with her tennis buddies to compete at various tournaments in Tennessee. She also cherished the many hours she played singles, mixed doubles, and women’s doubles at the Cookeville Community Center and Tennessee Tech University courts.

Generous, capable, and gracious, Linda was a beautiful person who left a lasting impression on the community.  All proceeds from the Linda Carlen Tennis Classic benefit middle and high school tennis programs in our region.
